Food Freedom Bill Hearing in Missouri March 17th!

Missouri Rep. Mike Moon has put in the direct from farm food freedom bill again. It is scheduled for a hearing, one of the early steps in this process, on March 17th in Hearing Room 4 at 12:30pm.

You can get the text of the bill at this link.

As many as possibly can, should make it to Jefferson City to testify for this bill. We are at this unfortunate time in our lives where the most basic of human rights are deemed to be outside of a person’s own purview. Anyone who testifies against this bill can only think we are too dumb to know what we actually want to eat.

I will at least be writing up a testimony and sending it to Rep Moon. You can get to his Missouri House email address by clicking on this link and then clicking on his name.

Please spread this information far and wide. If people like freedom, they will like this bill!

I hate to be a naysayer… but the real solution is to repeal every single law dealing with food – period. We already have a legal system that makes one responsible when you damage another, and any consumer should do their due diligence.

“Laws” are always written by big business that wants to limit competition. That is the real purpose of food laws.

What we need is a functioning legal system, and free market services that can help us in choosing safe food. (Something like UL underwriters laboratory has done for electrical safety)

I hear you. We have a hard time believing we can do things without permission or some control measure any longer. When things have gotten so bad that the most basic of human rights is seen as a privilege by many, we are indeed in dire straits.

People’s minds are so constrained today, that I think it my duty as a watchman on the wall so to speak, to play the devils advocate and point out the absolute absurdity of what people in the “freedom movement” support.

BTW thanks for your service! I depend upon you to keep me up to speed. 🙂
